For the automobile industry, digitalisation is once again the hottest topic in 2016. At this year’s Auto China, the Mercedes-Benz production responds with a whole suite of digital brand experiences.

The award-winning Augmented Reality technology from IAA 2015 was developed further still for use in Beijing. A setup comprising a vehicle on a revolving circular platform, an LED area and cameras above the stage is controlled by specially programmed software. AR layers are superimposed on the LED panel to show normally-concealed ’intelligent’ features of Mercedes-Benz automobiles in action.

This new and unique product presentation flanks the upgraded Silver Flow concept with its media-enabled slats. The technology used enables digitally controlled crossovers between media area and booth architecture.
